Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have reportedly called a truce in their previously nasty custody battle. According to RadarOnline.com, the two have realized that for the sake of their 2-year-old daughter Nahla and everyone involved, it's best if they at least try to resolve their issues amicably.
In fact, a "source close to the situation" tells Radar that Halle has decided not to seek sole custody of Nahla, and the Academy Award-winning actress realizes that airing their dirty laundry so publicly has gotten "out of control." We'd have to agree. Their public battle has included accusations that Aubry used a racial slur is reference to Berry, while the Monster’s Ball actress told the press she had serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father" and even reportedly hired a private investigator to tail her baby-daddy.
But Radar's source insists that Berry and Aubry realize that things were "just getting too nasty and too public," and while they're not exactly throwing up white flags of surrender, they're once again on speaking terms. "It seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up till now," the source claims.
"Hopefully this is the start of the two of them being able to form of workable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter," the source continues. Halle is determined to do whatever is best for Nahla, which included dropping out of the Garry Marshall film New Year's Eve earlier this year so she could be present in court against Gabriel.
For Nahla's sake, we sure hope that these two can go back to being friends and doing what's best for their little girl.
