Eminem Beats Lady Gaga, Rihanna To 60 Million Facebook Fans
Rapper now has more Facebook "likes" than any other living person.

<P>If you had to guess which artist has the most Facebook "likes," who would you guess? <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga?</a> <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber?</a> <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson?</a> Close, but no cigar.</P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> recently set the record for the most Likes by a living person with 60.1 million, blowing past the competition and landing at #5 on the list of the top 10 Facebook pages.</P><P>According to the <a href="http://pagedata.appdata.com/pages/leaderboard/fc/fan_count" target="_blank">App Data</a> page, Eminem is picking up close to 179,000 new Likes a week (or 26,854 a day), edging out <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/rihanna/artist.jhtml/">Rihanna,</a> who has 59.4 million Likes and is gaining around 167,000 "likes" per week pace (or 22,141 a day).</P><P>The only things blocking the 39-year-old Detroit MC's path to the top are the kinds of wildly popular time suckers that are hard for any flesh-and-blood superstar to pass: YouTube (61.2 million), Texas HoldEm Poker (63.8 million), Facebook itself (70.3 million) and the Facebook for Every Phone page (117.5 million).</P><P>Where do his fellow pop stars land? Shakira is #8 on the list with 53.3 million Likes (just below "The Simpsons" with 53.8 million), then Lady Gaga at #9 (53 million) and Jackson at #10 (51.1 million). Bieber is down at #15 (45.7 million), just ahead of Katy Perry (#16, 45.5 million), Linkin Park (#17, 44.2 million) and Lil Wayne (#20, 39.8 million). You didn't ask, but we'll tell you that MTV is at #27 (36 million).</P><P>Slim Shady might be the Facebook king, but he has quite a way to go when it comes to ruling the Twitter universe. That realm belongs to Gaga, who has more than 27.8 million followers, with Bieber a hair behind at 25.8 million and Perry gaining ground at #3 with 24.2 million. Em, meanwhile, is way down on the list at #19 with 11.8 million followers.</P>

<P>Of all the images that make up the video for <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s <a href="/news/articles/1690963/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-music-video-premiere.jhtml">"As Long As You Love Me,"</a> none are as memorable as the moment that Michael Madsen lands his first punch on the singer.</P><P>Madsen's overprotective-father character may have enjoyed leaving Bieber bloody for wanting to date his daughter, but in real life, the actor said he didn't take any pleasure in the one-two punch.</P><P>"I didn't exactly enjoy slapping him around," he told MTV News on Thursday, one day after the video premiered. "Had he been a prick, had he been a brat, you know, I might have had fun with that. But he was actually, he was the opposite."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Michael Madsen Has A Soft Spot For Justin Bieber" id="vid:822276" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>If fans are wondering if Bieber was nervous to take a beating for the <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">Anthony Mandler-directed clip</a>, Madsen explained that Bieber was more concerned about having it look real than scared to take the hit.</P><P>"He was very respectful, very respectful and decent to me," he said. "I think he wanted it to be well-done. I don't think he was blowing it off. I think that I've been around enough to know I can tell if somebody isn't really doing their job or taking what they do seriously. And I could tell from early on in the morning that he was. He wanted it to be right. He wanted it to be specific and had a good car, a '68 Charger. That's a pretty bitching car, you know? I saw that damn thing parked in front of the house and I went 'Wow, I hope that's mine.' But they put me in a Rolls Royce; not too bad at all."</P><P>So, given that Bieber and Madsen trade physical barbs <i>and</i> verbal ones, does the actor think Bieber has a future in Hollywood? "He had good eye contact. He was focused. He didn't have a double. I think he should leave the acting up to me," he laughed. "He can sing though. See I can't do that. It goes both ways. He can sing his head off and he's damn good at it, and I couldn't get close to that. Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' offer 'took me off guard,' says Madsen, who also starred with MJ in 2001.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> tweeted that when he was looking for inspiration for his <a href="/news/articles/1690963/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-music-video-premiere.jhtml">"As Long As You Love Me" video</a>, there was no one he wanted to <a href="/news/articles/1691049/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-michael-jackson.jhtml">emulate more than Michael Jackson</a>.</P><P>Coincidentally, when he needed someone to play his foe in the clip, he looked no further than a guy who has some experience working with Jackson.</P><P>That man is Michael Madsen, who appeared in Jackson's 2001 gangster-themed video for "You Rock My World" off his <i>Invincible</i> album. Oddly enough, the only people that have ever really asked the hard-edged actor to appear in videos happen to be Bieber and Jackson.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Michael Madsen Has A Soft Spot For Justin Bieber" id="vid:822276" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"Hardly ever [am I asked to be in videos], that was why it was kind of funny cause that doesn't usually happen," he told MTV News. "It came out of nowhere. It was the last thing in the world I expected, to be called by Justin Bieber. It was kind of funny. It took me off guard. It's not the usual thing people think of me for, but considering the role, maybe."</P><P>In <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">the video</a>, Madsen plays a tough guy who <a href="/news/articles/1691089/justin-bieber-michael-madsen-as-long-as-you-love-me-punch.jhtml">beats up Bieber</a> after the teen ignores his request to stay away from his daughter. It was that cinematic storyline that got Madsen interested.</P><P>"I didn't want to imagine myself on a trampoline with a lollipop, so I asked for the story. I realized it was almost like a film production; and of course, I kind of figured that it might be an interesting thing to do," he said about the Anthony Mandler-directed video. "I didn't know what to expect... I was surprised... They got me a good wardrobe. That was my shirt though. I brought my own shirt; those kinds of shirts are kind of rare.</P><P>"The story is so much Shakespearian; the couple, they run off together out the window," he later continued. "It's rather like that, I thought that was interesting. And I thought the kid, he had an enormous talent and he was very gracious to my sons and was very gracious to my family."</P><P>It was actually those sons that convinced the Hawaiian-shirt-wearing "Kill Bill" star to make the video with Bieber. "Well I was surprised at first that the kid was interested in having me be part of his video," he recalled. "I went to my sons and I asked my boys, I asked my sons what they thought if I should if they thought I should do it or not. And, of course, they gently placed their hand on my shoulder and said 'Dad don't you realize who Justin Bieber is?' And I said 'Well, no, actually I didn't.' Justin Bieber Inspired By Michael Jackson For 'As Long As You Love Me' Clip
Singer tweets about the King of Pop's influence on his new video.

And if fans were wondering what and who influenced the video, Bieber took to <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">Twitter</a> hours after the premiere to shout out his hero, Michael Jackson, for helping him step up his music-video game.</P><P>"MJ told stories with his videos. I wanted to tell a story. Feel like a movie. #AsLongAsYouLoveMe," he wrote, showing some love to the master. He later added, "Push the limits. Fight for what you BELIEVE in."</P><P>As of Wednesday night, Bieber was astounded that his video had amassed more than 1 million views in less than 10 hours. But that number nearly quadrupled on Thursday morning — as of press time, the video had almost 4 million streams.</P><P>Bieber is not only feeling the love for his <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">"ALAYM" video</a> but also for his "Boyfriend" video, which just received two <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/">2012 MTV Video Music Award</a> nominations for <a href="/news/articles/1690978/rihanna-only-girl-best-pop-video-video-music-awards.jhtml">Best Pop Video</a> and Best Male Video. Bieber goes into the September 6 broadcast already a two-time VMA winner. He'll learn if he can take home another one when the show goes live from the Staples Center.</P><P>The VMAs take place just weeks before Bieber kicks off his sold-out <a href="/news/articles/1688265/justin-bieber-after-believe.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> tour</a>, which coincidentally will also be heavily influenced by the King of Pop.</P><P>"He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s," his manager Scooter Braun shared. "And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.</P><P>"It's just really exciting," Braun continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."</P>

Nearly 740,000 votes were cast across the five categories (hip-hop, R&B, EDM, rock and pop) resulting in a winners' list led by both fan-favorite veteran acts and relative newcomers.</P><P>So who took home the gold in our Summer Jam Games? Amanda Bynes Arrest: Fashion Fail!
So much can be said, but it is starting be less entertaining, and more disturbing. As you know, Amanda Bynes was recently arrested for marijuana related allegations. The most bizarre allegation though, isn’t her bong throwing, or resisting arrest — it is actually coming from Bynes herself. She now claims that one of the arresting officers sexually harassed her by slapping her in her private area. That’s just strange and hard to believe, but she is actually filing a complaint! But what we find to be a bigger offense is her hair during this whole ordeal. She looks pretty disturbed in her mug shot (above), but what you really have to see is the video of her in court. I mean, did Courtney Love wake up to find her wig missing? That is just terrible. It looks like she tried to bleach it herself like a high school girl, but then got it cut at Fantastic Sams. "The Vampire Diaries" Star Candice Accola Announces Engagement
Sharing some exciting news with her Twitter followers, Candice Accola announced she was engaged on Wednesday (May 29).
During a romantic getaway in Florence, Italy, The Fray guitarist Joe King popped the question to the "Vampire Diaries" star.
Posting a pic of the happy betrothed couple, the 26-year-old actress tweeted, "Cheers from the future Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Aaron King."

<P>Things went from bad to worse for Kiie Glover, Usher's 11-year-old stepson. After a tragic Jet Ski accident left the <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/07/08/ushers-son-injured-in-jet-ski-accident/">youngster in critical condition</a> on Friday, doctors have now declared him brain dead.</P><P><a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/08/usher-tameka-foster-stepson-brain-dead/" target=="_blank">TMZ</a> is reporting that Glover, who is the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, has not experienced any brain activity since he was admitted into the hospital two days ago. According to reports, the pre-teen and a friend were floating in inner tubes on Lake Lanier in Atlanta when they were struck by a man on a Jet Ski. Glover was unresponsive when he was taken out of the water and airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston; his friend, an unidentified 15-year old girl, was treated for a cut on the head and a broken arm.</P><P>According to the <a href="http://www.ajc.com/news/reports-ushers-stepson-injured-1473926.html" target="_blank"><i>Atlanta Journal-Constitution,</i></a> the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said that alcohol doesn't appear to have been a factor in the accident and the newspaper also reported that the man on the Jet Ski and Glover were part of the same group on an outing at the lake.</P><P>Foster and Usher (born Usher Raymond) were married in 2007 but divorced in 2009. The two are reportedly both present at the hospital.</P><P>Many of Usher and Foster's celebrity friends took to Twitter on Sunday (July 8) to express their deepest sympathies.</P><P>"My deepest prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and both of their families right now," Diggy Simmons wrote.</P><P>"Wishing @TamekaRaymond's son godspeed recovery. horrible news to hear," Roots drummer Questlove added, while television personality La La Anthony wrote: "Praying for @TamekaRaymond and her family. Asking to give her and her family strength during this difficult time. Praying for u Kile."</P><P>This tragedy comes a month after Usher released his latest #1 album, <i>Looking 4 Myself.</i></P><P><i>Share your well wishes for Usher and his family in the comments section.</i></P>

Phew! Joe Jonas Denies Sex Tape Rumor
Joe Jonas was put in an awkward position this weekend, when he was forced to deny a rumor that he and girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler had made a kinky sex tape. According to a dubious report from the website Blind Gossip, Jonas, 23, and Eggenschwiler, 28, shot the video in a Buenos Aires hotel room during the Jonas Brothers world tour. The website went on to claim that Eggenschwiler, a former model whom Joe has been dating since November, had signed a deal to release the tape behind her famous boyfriend's back. It appears, however, that this tape will never see the light of day -- because it doesn't exist.

Amanda Bynes Announces She's Allergic to Drugs and Alcohol; Plans Music Career
Still incensed about Thursday's arrest, Amanda Bynes took to Twitter to rant about the handling of the incident and laid out her future plans on Monday (May 27).
Ready to take everybody to court, the former Nickelodeon star began, "For once and for all, this is the last thing I'll say about the mistaken arrest. I'm suing NYPD for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia, then I'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will, then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl that I am."
Afterwards, she informs readers, "I'm allergic to alcohol and drugs and don't partake in any of the above."
Again, the 27-year-old actress laid out her version of the events that took place that night and the perceived injustice that occurred.
Released without bond, Amanda wrote, "I'm free forever! You can't lock up an innocent person! Thanks for caring!"
Finally, ending on an even more bizarre note, Ms. Bynes concluded, "Look forward to seeing me in music videos! I'm getting in shape and getting a nose job! I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer/rapper!"

Ryan Gosling Skips Cannes to Film in Detroit
Taking his first stab at directing far away from the pressures of Hollywood, Ryan Gosling worked on the set of his new movie in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday (May 26).
The "Place Beyond the Pines" star wore a dark hoodie as he concentrated on the camera with the help of a crew member at the Movement Electronic Music Festival.
While he's throwing himself into his new venture, the 32-year-old actor skipped out on the premiere of his upcoming movie, "Only God Forgives," at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this week.
Sorry to miss out on supporting the flick, Ryan wrote a letter, which was read at the fest, stating, "Can't believe I'm not in Cannes, I was hoping to come but I'm on week three shooting my film in Detroit. Miss you all. Nicolas [Refn, the director], my friend, we really are the same persons in different dimensions. I'm sending you good vibrations."

After tweeting out a photo of her <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/08/03/lady-gaga-unveils-new-tattoo-pic/">new tattoo, which reads ARTPOP</a>, last week, she took to Twitter over the weekend to confirm that the ink is indeed the name of her 2013 album release.</P><P>"Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details* good morning twitter!" she <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/232114376067403776"_blank">wrote</a> on Sunday.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Mother Monster originally revealed her plan to <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">drop the album's title</a> in September back in June before apparently getting antsy and releasing the name a month ahead of schedule. It's a title she's had in mind since MTV News spoke to her last year.</P><P>"I've started writing it and I have the name for it, and all the concepts are <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">beginning to flourish</a> and take place," she said in December. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done."</P><P>Gaga has been making time to record <i>ARTPOP</i> while on her <i>Born This Way</i> tour. She reportedly enlisted the help of <a href="/news/articles/1690576/lady-gaga-whitesnake-guitarist-doug-aldrich-new-album.jhtml">Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich</a> for the album. The twosome hit the studio with Gaga's longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow in Los Angeles.</P><P>She also recently teased fans with a new song, <a href="/news/articles/1690196/lady-gaga-new-music-car-new-york.jhtml">blasting it out of her car</a> while in New York City. She even implied that the dance track would be the first single from the new album. DJ White Shadow produced the track.</P><P>Gaga has also been playing her new piano-heavy song "Princess Die" while on tour. During one stop, she opened up a bit about her next album. "Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote <i>Born This Way,</i> I demonstrated a sense of maturity," she said.
