In fact, the actress who plays the straight laced and pushy Rachel Berry on the Fox show, went against the series creator’s (Ryan Murphy) advice, wearing black to the Golden Globe Awards. Telling In Style the story, Michele says “Ryan Murphy had told me, ‘Don’t wear black. You should never wear black. So my stylist pulled floral, beautiful colours. As I’m walking to the bathroom to try them on, I see the Oscar [de la Renta] dress hanging up in her closet.
