Keeping it casual on the way to the beauty parlor, Emma Roberts headed to Salon Benjamin in West Hollywood on Tuesday (November 27).

The "We're the Millers" star texted away in a red sweatshirt, blue skinny jeans, and red flats while carrying large black handbag.

Recently, the 21-year-old actress and fashion aficionado spoke to PEOPLE about her evolving style. She says, "When I was younger it was just [about] looking pretty. Now it?s more about doing things that are different and interesting.?

Later, Emma added, "I would never wear my hair slicked back when I was younger because I?d be too uncomfortable, but [at the Sunglass Hut event] I was like, ?Oh, I normally wouldn?t do this, but why not?? So I think it?s just caring less ? not in a bad way ? but caring less so you?re not so, ?Everything has to be a certain way.??
