Blake Lively Returns: Starring in Romantic Drama "The Age of Adrenaline"
Seeming to have put her acting career on hold since her marriage to Ryan Reynolds, ?Gossip Girl?s? Blake Lively is back, and she is ready to hit the big screen again, landing the star role in ?The Age of Adrenaline.?
26-year-old Blake hinted at being linked to the project in late September of this year, when she told British Vogue in an interview, "It's something that will be launching in a few months and that I'm really, really thrilled about."
"The main element of it is that it's about storytelling and it's about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that,? she said. ?There's nothing like it out there?it's without a genre."
Set to begin filming in March of 2014, ?The Age of Adrenaline? is a romantic drama. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard: Married At Long Last!
After six years dating, and pursuing each other, both on and off camera, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have reportedly gotten married, and in nonchalant fashion, to boot!
The ?When in Rome? celebrity couple meant to register for their marriage license at a Beverly Hills county clerk?s office today (October 17), but when a court employee offered to marry them on the spot, they agreed, conducting the ceremony in a nearby courtroom.
Kristen actually once discussed her preference for a courthouse marriage in the past, saying, "I feel like we get enough attention in our daily lives and we just want something sort of private that involves pen and paper."
Dax proposed to Kristen in June of this year, after celebrating the U.S. Supreme Court striking down of the gay marriage ban. At this time neither of pair's reps have commented on the news.

Elle Magazine's Melissa McCarthy Cover Draws Controversy
Elle Magazine has always been one to feature female models and actresses in flattering and sexy ways, but the high-end fashion mag's most recent issue, featuring "Identity Thief" all-star actress Melissa McCarthy, has garnered more than a little backlash from viewers and critics.
Big names such as Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley, have all shined as cover models in the past, wrapped in sexy yet stunning dresses and body-baring outfits.
However, Melissa's cover was not so flattering. Slate Magazine called McCarthy the Elle's ?token plus-size cover girl,? whose coat is ?so huge? she could hide her "Mike and Molly" co-star Billy Gardel underneath." The politics and culture magazine also accused Elle's photographer, saying, ?Perhaps photographer Thomas Whiteside only knows how to photograph the usual stick insect models, because he clearly has no clue how to highlight McCarthy?s curves,? charged Slate."
Elle responded to the controversy, stating, "On all of our shoots, our stylists work with the stars to choose pieces they feel good in, and this is no different: Melissa loved this look, and is gorgeous on our cover. We are thrilled to honor her as one of our Women in Hollywood this year.?

Emma Watson Lands at LAX
Making her return to the West Coast, Emma Watson arrived at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (October 16).
The ?Perks of Being a Wallflower? hottie looked cute and casual in a black jacket, grey sweater, dark trousers, and black leather booties as she strolled through the terminal and hopped in a chauffeured car.
Given that she?s still largely known for her role in the ?Harry Potter? film franchise, Emma told press she?s not fretting over losing her teen star image.
?I?m prepared to wait it out. If it takes five years, it takes five years. If it takes more time .?.?. I?m here for the long haul.?
Watson also explained her love of meditation- ?I?d be jet-lagged, and I?d have a lot of different things to think about... I just needed something to stop the noise. I?m a very heady person; I?m in my head a lot. So I just needed something to slow down my thought process and so everything gets a lot quieter. It?s really helped me.?

Did Michael Madsen Enjoy Punching Justin Bieber?
The 'Kill Bill' actor details the graphic 'As Long As You Love Me' scene for MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena

Of all the images that make up the video for Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me," none are as memorable as the moment that Michael Madsen lands his first punch on the singer.

Madsen's overprotective-father character may have enjoyed leaving Bieber bloody for wanting to date his daughter, but in real life, the actor said he didn't take any pleasure in the one-two punch.

"I didn't exactly enjoy slapping him around," he told MTV News on Thursday, one day after the video premiered. "Had he been a prick, had he been a brat, you know, I might have had fun with that. But he was actually, he was the opposite."

If fans are wondering if Bieber was nervous to take a beating for the Anthony Mandler-directed clip, Madsen explained that Bieber was more concerned about having it look real than scared to take the hit.

"He was very respectful, very respectful and decent to me," he said. "I think he wanted it to be well-done. I don't think he was blowing it off. I think that I've been around enough to know I can tell if somebody isn't really doing their job or taking what they do seriously. And I could tell from early on in the morning that he was. He wanted it to be right. He wanted it to be specific and had a good car, a '68 Charger. That's a pretty bitching car, you know? I saw that damn thing parked in front of the house and I went 'Wow, I hope that's mine.' But they put me in a Rolls Royce; not too bad at all."

So, given that Bieber and Madsen trade physical barbs and verbal ones, does the actor think Bieber has a future in Hollywood? "He had good eye contact. He was focused. He didn't have a double. I think he should leave the acting up to me," he laughed. "He can sing though. See I can't do that. It goes both ways. He can sing his head off and he's damn good at it, and I couldn't get close to that. He does his thing, and I do mine."

Speaking of his music, Madsen approves of the track, giving it a four-star worthy review. "I hadn't heard much of his music before. I wouldn't be in exactly the age range to listen to Justin Bieber, ok?" he joked. "It's not like I'm tuning in for it, but I did, I do like that song. I like that song a lot. It's very pretty. It's nice."

Do you think Madsen's blow to Bieber was realistic? Let us know what you thought about the video in the comments!

The rock contenders were a "who's who" of titans in the genre, from Jack White to the Killers, but in the end, Gwen, Tony, Adrian and Tom prevailed over their closest competitor, Green Day's "Oh Love," with their infectious return to music; it's also the lead single from Push and Shove, the band's first album since 2001's Rock Steady.

Pop: "As Long As You Love Me," Justin Bieber, featuring Big Sean
Far and away the most voted-upon category, the competition for top of the pops was fierce. In the end, Justin Bieber and One direction left everyone else in the dust, accounting for nearly 95 percent of the total vote. Justin Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' Video: Growing Up Is Hard To Do
Bieber dives headlong into adulthood — and takes a beating from Michael Madsen — in his brand-new video.
By James Montgomery

When Justin Bieber dropped his "Boyfriend" video back in May, he made one thing very clear: He's all grown up.

Yes, with its cool cars, hot clothes and even hotter women, "Boyfriend" was precisely the kind of video a newly minted 18-year-old would make, had they the means (and the relationship with Director X). It was a supercharged, supremely budgeted man's fantasy, and, much like manhood itself, there was nothing subtle about it.

And while the same can be said about his brand-new "As Long as You Love Me" clip — it's about a subtle as a hammer to the head — that's where the similarities between the two videos end. Director Anthony Mandler tones down the excess in favor of a genuine grittiness, and, in the process, makes "Boyfriend" look like child's play. If that clip was a fantasy ride, well, then "ALAYLM" is a reality trip. Adulthood isn't all fun and games, after all.

Part tragic love story, part pulpy thriller, the new vid finds Bieber flexing his acting muscles opposite Michael Madsen — that'll put hair on his chest — who plays an overprotective father/probable career criminal with a penchant for gaudy fashion (which is to say, the same kind of role he's been playing for 20 years now). Biebs has only the noblest of intentions for his daughter, but Madsen refuses to give their relationship his approval — a point he drives home when he advises JB to "hit the road."

Of course, given that this is a tragedy, Bieber doesn't listen, and, in-between some scenes of the young couple exploring the limits of their love — definitely his most adult to date — we learn that JB plans on rescuing his girlfriend from the grips of her father, via a late-night train station rendezvous. As you might expect, this doesn't sit particularly well with Madsen, who confronts Bieber and dishes out a savage beating (though at least he doesn't cut his ear off) while his daughter looks on in horror.

And while you'd think all that violence would be enough to further cement his love interest's desire to flee, sadly, she leaves Bieber standing at the train station, and at clip's end, he is heartbroken ... and alone. For the first time, Bieber doesn't get the girl, and the message seems to be clear: Being a grown-up ain't all it's cracked up to be.

In a lot of ways, "As Long as You Love Me" is probably a risk for Bieber; he dares to dirty up his image and isn't afraid to take a beating. Those scenes of violence are are particularly vivid, as are the subsequent performance shots where Bieber belts out the tune with blood dripping from his face. It's a credit to his newfound maturity that he'd trust Mandler's vision and allow the "ALAYLM" video to go to such great lengths. This is in no way a fun clip, but, then again, adulthood isn't supposed to be fun. Bieber seems to have figured that out, and, in doing so, he's only further separated himself from his tween-pop forefathers. They'd never go to the lengths or the depths he does here, mostly because they were probably afraid to grow up. It's clear Bieber isn't.

What do you think of Bieber's grown-up video for "As Long as You Love Me"? Leave your comment below!

With nearly 20 years of blockbuster hits under his belt, Usher proved to be the Michael Phelps of our Summer Jam Games — a heavily decorated veteran who's still winning top honors when he gets in the game.

R&B: "Thinkin Bout You," Frank Ocean
With three VMA noms and one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, Ocean is enjoying a very big moment right now. That energy carried him not only to the top of the album charts, but also to victory in our R&B category. Ocean took nearly half of all votes cast in the category and 12,000-plus votes more than his nearest competitor, silver medalist JoJo, whose "Demonstrate" did just that. Combined, Ocean and JoJo accounted for more than 92 percent of all votes in an R&B field that included Leah La Belle, The-Dream and Trey Songz.

EDM: "Lights," Ellie Goulding
Goulding took her time to break here in the U.S., but once the Brit beauty's ethereal dance jam "Lights" started to catch on, it set the charts on fire. In its 32nd week on the Billboard Hot 100, the song remains at #5, and the continued popularity of "Lights" catapulted the song to the top of the EDM heap, besting some of the genre's biggest stars, including Eric Prydz, Porter Robinson, David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris, to take the Summer Jam gold.

<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ellie Goulding - "Lights"" isvevo="true" isrc="GBUV71006926" id="vid:695917" width="415" height="255">

Rock: "Settle Down," No Doubt
If there was any question that No Doubt is back in the biggest possible way, look no further than the showing of "Settle Down" in the Summer Jam Games rock category.

But in the end, there could only be one, and the Beliebers rallied behind Justin to push "As Long As you Love Me" across the finish line just ahead of One Direction's "One Thing."

Did your favorites take top honors in our Summer Jam Games? Lady Gaga's ARTPOP: A History Of Album Title Oddities
From unpronounceable symbols to parentheses, Gaga's ALL-CAPS album title joins the ranks of the all-time weirdest.
By James Montgomery

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga struck a blow against copy editors everywhere when she announced that the title of her new album, ARTPOP, must always be written in ALL CAPS, because "it's all in the details."

And while we're not trying to downplay said details, we'd be like to point out that Gaga isn't exactly the first artist to demand orthographical satisfaction. Shoot, she's not even the first to go ALL CAPS: Earlier this year, Linkin Park did the same thing with their LIVING THINGS album, only they one-upped Gaga by also requesting that all songs on the album also be written in all caps, bravely eschewing the lowercase for reasons apparent only to them.

In fact, the history of popular music is packed with affronts to punctuation — from early pioneers like the Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine" to more recent torchbearers like Panic! at the Disco and Godspeed You! Black Emperor — though rarely have artists had the audacity to extend that mistreatment to the album title itself.

Of course, there are those who have bravely dared to throw logic (and roughly 300 years of letter-case tradition) out the window when it came time to name their new albums. So in honor of Gaga's ARTPOP demands, here's a look back at some of the greatest — and by that, we mean most nonsensical — album titles in history.

Led Zeppelin's IV: At the peak of their powers — both artistically and, it would seem, mystically — Zeppelin decided they didn't need to title their fourth album. Instead, they printed four hand-drawn symbols (each representing a band member) on its inner sleeve. The move has subsequently enthralled generations of bong-glazed dorm inhabitants and only added to the album's mystique. In the 40 years since it was released, the record has come to be known as IV, Runes, Zoso (after Jimmy Page's symbol) and "the one with 'Stairway to Heaven' on it."

Prince's Love Symbol album: Released in the lead-up to the Purple One's "symbol" phase — when he changed his stage name to an unpronounceable hieroglyph that incorporated the symbols for both male and female — it understandably infuriated his label, Warner Bros., which was precisely what Prince intended. (Note to labels: Do not release greatest-hits packages without Prince's approval.) After the album didn't sell (he blamed this on Warner), Prince would eventually begin appearing in public with the phrase "Slave" written on his face. Shocking, to be sure, but at least you could pronounce it.

Ministry's Psalm 69: Its actual title is a collection of Greek symbols (that translate to "head") and the number "69" in Greek numerals. Not only that, but Ministry named their 1992 album in honor of occultist Aleister Crowley's "The Book of Lies," which was first published as "Which is also Falsely Called BREAKS. The Wanderings or Falsifications of the One Thought of Frater Perduarbo, which Thought is itself Untrue. Liber CCCXXXIII [Book 333]." And that would have been a ridiculous name for an album.

Sigur Ros' ( ): The Icelandic art-rockers really outdid themselves on their third album, and we're not just talking about the decision to sing all the songs in a made-up language called "Hopelandic." Technically, ( ) has no actual title. Rather, the brackets are meant to represent its two halves or give the listener the opportunity to determine the title themselves. Oh, and officially, all of the tracks on the album are untitled too. Your move, Gaga.

Coldplay's X&Y: Sure, it's got a traditional title. But ever the artistes, Coldplay decided to print the name of their 2005 album in the Baudot code, an early forerunner of the Morse code that relied on a series of 1's and 0's to convey messages. Needless to say, the logic behind the decision was about as difficult to crack as the code itself.

M.I.A. /\/\ /\ Y /\: Yes, we know that technically, M.I.A.'s 2010 album is called Maya (she named it after herself, following in the tradition of her first two albums, which were named in honor of her mother and father), but let the record state that when she officially unveiled the title, she did so in tricky typographical fashion. No wonder Diplo hated it so much.

Liars' WIXIW: It's pronounced "Wish You," FYI. And for a band like Liars, who have spent their career giving albums titles like They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top and They Were Wrong, So We Drowned, we'd like to think it's actually an improvement.

Sound off on the latest album title trend in the comments, and FEEL FREE TO DO IT IN ALL-CAPS!

Lady Gaga Goes Goth For Fame Perfume Trailer
Mother Monster's dark, high-fashion clip was directed by photographer Steven Klein.
By Jocelyn Vena

Crunchy synths and a dance beat serve as the soundtrack to Lady Gaga's eye-catching trailer for her Fame fragrance, which hits stores in September.

In the Steven Klein-directed spot, Gaga wears latex — and in some cases nothing — as she commands a spaceship full of beefy guys. In the commercial, several images are intercut to weave together a sci-fi, Goth-style story where Gaga rises from the primordial ooze that is her black eau de parfum.

When she isn't completely drenched in the oily black liquid, she's standing alongside her army, embracing with one or two of them and looking generally fierce and glamorous in one of many space-age couture looks.

As the trailer comes to a close, little men are seen climbing a nude, oversize Gaga, a setup previously teased in an ad for the Mother Monster's first foray into the world of celebrity-endorsed perfumes.

In the latest issue of Vogue, Gaga opens up about working with beauty brand Coty to perfect her perfume, making sure that while it looks black in the bottle, it sprays on completely clear. "The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black," she said in the issue for which she graces the cover in a Marc Jacobs gown. "It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you."

In addition to the trailer, Gaga previously released a short film called "Formulation" to get fans hyped about the release. The singer is also featured in a print ad wearing an S&M latex bodysuit.

Little Monsters should also look forward to the release of her ARTPOP album. She announced the title just this month, via a tattoo, and the album is expected to drop in early 2013.

Share your thoughts on Gaga's perfume trailer in the comments!
