Miley Cyrus Spoofs MTV VMAs Performance in SNL Cold Open and Monologue (Video)

Miley Cyrus was the host of “Saturday Night Live” as well as the musical guest. Watch the cold open and her opening monologue which both spoof her now infamous MTV VMAs performance and the resulting controversy that we are still talking about! The much anticipated episode of SNL began with that twerking, tongue liberating MTV VMA performance that started it all. Anything less would have been a shocker, after all. That performance is now weeks into a past that does not stay buried, as music artists are still asked that question…what did you think about that performance? Yes, that one. That performance may have left some wondering if it had been a sign of the apocalypse. In the cold open it was exactly that. The post-apocalyptic world of 2045 looked back at that Miley Cyrus performance pointing a (giant foam) finger of blame; this after ruling out other possible culprits, including the government shutdown and Obamacare.
