Hoping to nab a coveted role, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon Jessica Chastain, and Amanda Seyfried are all reportedly in the running to star as Hillary Clinton in an upcoming film.
Directed by James Ponstoldt, "Rodham" tells the story of the former Secretary of State's beginnings as a lawyer in Washington in the 1970s.
In an interview with The Independent, however, the director says there's been no decision, saying, "We?re very fortunate that a lot of really great actors are interested in playing these roles. We?re in an enviable position.?
Speaking about the difficult choice, he added, "Regardless of people?s political affiliation or how they feel about Hillary Clinton, you don?t find people who question the quality of her intelligence or her drive. I want a wonderful actress who could embody that.?
