They've both gone out of their way to deny a romance, but could teen stars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez be moving out of the friend zone?
The rumor mill is buzzing after photos surfaced of what appears to be Bieber, 16, and Gomez, 18, cuddling on a yacht in St. Lucia. The Biebs wears black swim trunks while Gomez struts her stuff in a blue bikini, and they're apparently seen hugging and kissing.
The teen idols have been attracting romance rumors for weeks, as they've been spotted hanging out -- and even sharing a pancake breakfast together. But when asked about their relationship last month, Gomez insisted that it's strictly platonic. "Oh my gosh! He is one of my best friends," she said. "It was just pancakes!"
And just last week another photo surfaced that a fan site claimed was of the two celebs locking lips. But Bieber's rep told Celebuzz that the photo was a fake -- and that neither Bieber nor Gomez was actually pictured. But the fan blog that posted the pic fired back, claiming that the stars' jewelry proved that the photo was legit.
We'll have to wait and see whether or not anything is really going on between these two. But if Gomez does have a case of Bieber Fever, she's going to have more than a few jealous tweens on her hands!
