With his role on Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher has replaced Charlie Sheen as the highest-paid sitcom actor. He's also got a great marriage to Demi Moore, millions of Twitter followers and a successful production company. So what kind of trailer do you get for the guy who has everything?
Answer: the two-story, $8,750-a-week kind! The Daily Mail reports that Kutcher will be spending his off-camera time in a "mobile estate" that boasts seven 3-D plasma TVs, a conference room, two bathrooms and a kitchen with granite countertops, along with remote-controlled awnings, light, heat and air conditioning. When the hydraulically controlled second floor is extended, the 53-foot long vehicle is 1,100 square feet -- easily the size of a small house.
The trailer is made by the same company that built Will Smith's Men in Black III behemoth -- the one that understandably irked New York City residents when it was parked in their streets during filming. Fortunately, Kutcher's new home-away-from-home will reside on the Warner Bros. lot -- where Two and a Half Men's producers will be paying the rent, on top of Kutcher's reported $20 million salary for the season!
Even though Kutcher's coworkers are probably stuck in ordinary one-story trailers, they all seem thrilled with their new cast mate. Last week, Jon Cryer told an L.A. radio station that Kutcher is "amazing" and gives the set "a lovely vibe." Angus T. Jones admits that he misses Charlie Sheen, but tells E! News that the transition into the new season was "seamless... it's just that Ashton's there instead of Charlie." So, yes, Kutcher may be an expensive addition to the cast -- but it sounds like he's worth it!
The first Charlie-less season of Two and a Half Men premieres on September 19 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
